1% for the Planet
Little choices, big changes
With its collections Single Origin* and Spring 2024, Valrhona is a member of 1% for the Planet®.
This means we donate 1% of the annual sales from these ranges to environmental non-profits that support causes we hold dear: sustainable cocoa farming, agroforestry, reforestation, and improving the living conditions of cocoa producers.

What is 1% For The Planet?
1% For The Planet is a collective of companies committed to donating 1% of their annual revenue on all or part of their product range to environmental protection organizations. This non-governmental organization was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the founder and owner of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, former owner of Blue Ribbon Flies.
We have chosen to be part of it, committing to donate 1% of the annual revenue from our Pure Origin and Spring 2024 Collection ranges.
Be part of commit
By choosing our Pure Origin and Spring 2024 Collection ranges, you also contribute to this commitment.
Valrhona’s chocolate-making expertise empowers taste
artisans to explore endless creative possibilities and
devise their own personal signatures.
It
all starts with the selection of raw ingredients, particularly
the cocoa beans: Valrhona’s sourcing team travels the world
to select the finest, most unique cocoas directly from
plantations.
Single origin* chocolates, are split into two
groups: Single origin* couvertures, which are available
permanently, and cuvées from small plantations, which are
available in limited quantities. Both groups are
representative of a single country’s aromatic profile.

Valrhona Spring 2024 collection
This collection, which tells the story of the rebirth of nature in the spring, comes in 3 different formats, including a new, never-before-seen idea: Easter cones.
The elegant, streamlined design of the
gift boxes is adorned with bright
colors that evoke lush, leafy
nature in a nod
to agroforestry, a cultivation method
supported by Valrhona that respects the soil by mixing different
tree species and enables producers to diversify their
income.
This springtime collection is sure to delight the
whole family!
